Who We Are
Four Degrees Alpine Ski Team, now in its second year – FAST is the newest alpine race team in Minnesota but not new to ski racing and athlete development. Four Degrees, run by Pete Jones, formerly of Western Region Nor Am Group, Park City Ski Team, and Big Sky Ski Team, has over 30 years of coaching and ski racing experience. FAST is unique because we have teams and full-time coaching staff at four ski areas in Minnesota.
Locations – Mount Kato • Hyland Hills • Powder Ridge • Trollhaugen
Advantage of Four – Provides our athletes the ability to train at various locations and work with multiple coaches. Our training set-up promotes athletic growth by providing different terrain and access to highly experienced coaches who can provide expert feedback. Sometimes breaking the daily routine can help push athletes to the next level. Most importantly, we believe in community and providing opportunities to all athletes regardless of where you live while supporting these great ski venues we are all fortunate to have access to.
Experienced Coaches at all Locations – Our coaching staff is one of the most experienced in the Central Division. All of our coaches hold at least a Level 100 coaches certificate. All have a ski racing background. FAST coaches have worked with athletes that have gone on to the US Ski Team, Nor-Am, and Olympic teams. Those athletes have been US Nationals Champions, World Cup winners, and Olympic Champions.
Four Degrees Alpine Ski Team is a non-profit organization supported by a volunteer parent/coach Board of Directors. Your voice and help make a difference, and we strongly encourage our families to volunteer at any level. Volunteering in our sport is the key to having a successful team. Parent volunteers help run the local ski races. Not only does it support our young athletes, but it also is a fun way to get to meet people and build community.
Philosophy of Four – Opportunity, diversity, excellence, and inclusion matter to us.
Our Methodology; Your Choice…Four Areas, Train at One…Train at All.
