Introducing Four Degrees Alpine Ski Team (FAST)
FAST is an Alpine ski team based in Minnesota and Wisconsin, with extensive experience in ski racing and athlete development. The team is led by Pete Jones, who has over 30 years of coaching and ski racing experience, including with the Western Region Nor Am Group, Park City Ski Team, and Big Sky Ski Team. What makes FAST unique is that it has teams and full-time coaching staff at four ski areas in Minnesota.
Locations – Mount Kato • Hyland Hills • Powder Ridge • Trollhaugen • Duluth
Advantage of Five Locations: Our athletes have the opportunity to train at multiple locations and work with different coaches, which promotes athletic growth through exposure to various terrains and access to highly experienced coaches who can provide expert feedback. Mixing up the daily routine can help push athletes to the next level. Most importantly, we believe in building a supportive community and providing opportunities to all athletes, regardless of their location, while also supporting the ski venues available to us."
Experienced Coaches at all Locations—Our coaching staff is one of the most experienced in the Central Division. All of our coaches hold at least a Level 100 coaches certificate and have a ski racing background. FAST coaches have worked with athletes who have gone on to the US Ski Team, Nor-Am, and Olympic teams. Those athletes have been US National Champions, World Cup winners, and Olympic Champions.
Four Degrees Alpine Ski Team is a non-profit organization supported by a volunteer parent/coach Board of Directors. Your voice and help make a difference, and we strongly encourage our families to volunteer at any level. Volunteering in our sport is the key to having a successful team. Parent volunteers help run the local ski races. Not only does it support our young athletes, but it is also a fun way to meet people and build community.
Philosophy of Four – Opportunity, diversity, excellence, and inclusion matter to us.
Our Methodology; Your Choice… Five Areas, Train at One…Train at All.
